A Brampton trucker has been charged after a Friday morning crash involving Ontario Economic Development Minister Vic Fedeli, who is “OK,” according to his campaign office.
“He was stopped at a traffic light at the Highway 11/17 bypass and hit from behind by a tractor trailer. Car was pushed through the intersection,” his team said.
Fedeli was taken to hospital “as a precaution,” his campaign manager William Ferguson said.
“He’s fine, in great spirits and he has now been released,” Ferguson said.
A commercial motor vehicle driver has been charged following the rear-end collision.
Ontario Provincial Police and North Bay Ambulance responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 11 and O’Brien St.
A 35-year-old commercial motor vehicle driver from Brampton was charged with following too closely.
