Tori Spelling is catching heat on social media after she revealed that she stripped down for a massage from her 7-year-old son “in exchange for an allowance.”
“Beau said he wanted to do chores in exchange for an allowance … solid plan,” she captioned an Instagram Story snap captured by Page Six, PEOPLE and other outlets in which she was pictured lying face down with a pink blanket covering her bottom half while her son rubbed her legs.
But on X, many users didn’t find Spelling’s post endearing with a number of people calling her image “disturbing” with others wondering “WTF” was going through her mind.
“I am once again begging rich people to just be normal,” one person wrote, with another adding, “That’s beyond inappropriate.”
“GIRL, PAY FOR AN ACTUAL MASSAGE,” a third critic blasted in all caps.
“What in the absolute f—?” a fourth person asked.
“The fact that she doesn’t seem to see anything wrong with posting this is pretty disturbing,” another comment read.
“Whatever happened to doing the dishes? Take out the trash? Pick up dog poop?” a sixth person questioned.
Spelling has a close bond with all of her children. Last year, during episode of her misSPELLING podcast, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared that she used to have her ex-husband Dean McDermott hang out with her while she was in the bathroom relieving herself.
Telling listeners she hadn’t “pooped (or) peed alone in 18 years,” Spelling admitted that “first it was Dean, then it was kids.”
“Beau still stands there and stares and talks to me while I’m pooping,” she said at the time (per PEOPLE). “I think I function better with people.”
The mother of five then asked herself if her behaviour meant she was co-dependent. Spelling then answered her own question be replying, “Yes. Cool.”
Prior to that admission, back in 2021, Spelling revealed that she was sleeping in the same bed with four of her kids after she and McDermott stopped sleeping together when he left for “another country” to work on an unspecified project.
“Since he left, he was gone for six months filming in another country, they all stayed with me,” Spelling said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis (via CNN). “So, I currently still have four in the bedroom with me who have yet to go back to their rooms.”
Weeks after that confession, Spelling told Us Weekly that her kids “have been transitioning back” to their own beds.
“I think that’ll be helpful with school hours. We could still do sleepovers and hang out on the weekends,” she said.
But Spelling told the outlet that she planned to keep Beau around the in bed with her the longest.
“He’s growing so fast. So I think I’ll keep him with me until he says he wants to get out of there.”
