Channel 4 Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has dished out her favourite beauty product she’s using at the moment. She says the cream, which you can buy at Boots, gives her a “glowing complexion” and “bouncy skin”. In a recently uploaded Instagram post, the British TV personality showed viewers just how ‘amazing’ her skin looks after using the product.
In the caption she wrote: “No. botox here. Just good skincare.” In the video she said: “I have found a new base product for my skin that I absolutely love. Okay, so this went completely viral all over the internet. Everybody was banging on about it. I needed to see whether it was worth the hype. This is the Erborian BB cream with Ginseng.”
Explaining what the Erborian BB cream does, she said: “It is a moisturiser, a BB cream, an SPF all in one.” Giving fans a closer look, she added: “Look at that colour. It is perfection.” Wowed by how well the product works for her skin, she said: “And that glow, it’s not a foundation, so it’s a lot more lightweight.
“And it gives you that really beautiful, glassy skin look. Guys, look at this skin. I didn’t add any concealer. This is just the Eborian BB Cream. And I love it when I discover a product like this that I get to share because it just makes my job so fun.”
In the comments, one person said: “In the best way possible I am shocked you said no botox your skin is PERFECT! Amazing.” A second wrote: “I need to try this!!” A third put: “You are glowing tbf.” A fourth added: “You look glowing at the end.” One more said: “Love this stuff, your skin always looks on point.”
You can buy the Erborian BB cream with Ginsengat Boots for £37.80. Although it may sound like a lot for a single tube, but hundreds of customers have left multiple glowing five star reviews. The cream was originally £42 but has dropped down slightly. Amazon is selling it for cheaper, at £20.50 – but delivery times vary and only certain sizes and shades are available.
The “half skincare, half makeup” tinted cream comes in five different colours and enhances your skin, providing an instant “baby skin” effect. With its light texture and buildable coverage, it perfects and evens out the complexion “without any caking”.
The Erborian BB cream is formulated with Erborian’s White Ginseng complex, which is based around a Korean active ingredient renowned for its smoothing properties. Boots says: “It cares for your skin every day.”
The vegan formula also contains SPF 20, to help protect skin against sun damage. The Erborian BB cream blends into your skin to:
- Even out and perfect the complexion
- Conceal small imperfections
- Visibly refine skin’s texture
- Moisturise, for ‘bouncier’ skin
- Leave a velvety, non-greasy finish

In the reviews of the Erborian BB cream on Boots’ website, Vic wrote: “I’ve been using this for a year now after multiple recommendations , I’ve had lots of compliments on my skin it really brightens it up, I like it best with the primer but do use it on its own sometimes.” Mary said: “It blends easily and gives a natural, radiant finish.”
Carol admitted: “I often get seduced into trying other makeup, and have spent a fortune on them over the years, but unfailingly return to Erborian bb! More shades would be amazing though!” Aziza commented: “Found my new ultimate foundation. It is really good, lasts the whole day and looks like your second skin.”
Lisa said: “I had tried everything before this BB cream. L’Oréal, Lancôme, Dior. Everything is heavy coverage and drying. I have mature skin and I need to keep it moist. The day I tried Erborian bb cream, everything changed.” Kasia added: “Fantastic product, with light to medium coverage, baby skin glow effect, no sticky, stay on for 8 plus hours.”

However, some shared a few issues. Sarah claimed: “My partner commented that I looked like a geisha, didn’t blend in well at all.” A second noted: “The product does seem to be good just only for a very select few with matching skin tones.” Helen said: “Too pale for me, the photo guide didn’t show the true colour. I will not be able to use this.”
