A huge cannabis farm has been found in a home on Filton Avenue thanks to nearby residents who got wind of the criminal operation. Avon and Somerset Police officers found 340 cannabis plants being grown in the house after being called by residents who reported a strong smells of cannabis in the area.

The farm has an approximate value in the region of £170,000. It was being grown across five rooms and a police investigation has now been launched.

Police said all of the plants have been seized and will be destroyed. Investigating officers are appealing to the public for information about the farm.
