Prince Harry appeared to take a swipe at the UK in a new Invictus Games interview.
The Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex travelled to Canada on February 8 for engagements in support of the sporting event, including appearing at the Games opening ceremony.
The prince founded the Invictus Games in London in 2014, with this year marking the seventh edition of the competition for wounded military veterans.
Meghan departed the Games this week, mirroring her attendance at the 2023 Düsseldorf competition, which she also left after five days to return home.

Her exit was reportedly pre-planned, with the Duchess posting an Instagram update from inside the couple’s Californian home.
During an Interview with CTV News, a Canadian media outlet, Prince Harry appeared to take a swipe at the UK when asked why he loves the nation of Canada.
Harry said: “Canada has been really really good to my wife over all these years. And it’s been really really good to us as well.”
“Certainly, in 2020, it was amazing for us to be able to be in Canada on Vancouver Island with Archie and be able to go for hikes and be in amongst the local town and feel protected by them. We were there for more than six weeks before anybody found out.
“We bumped into people to whole time and nobody told anyone. Yes they told other people but there’s not so much of a media or pap culture on Vancouver Island.”

He added: “The reason we went to Vancouver Island was because there is nobody running around chasing people with cameras, so it was a bit of a refuge.
“Canada has always been very special.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed behind-the-scenes footage of their time spent on Vancouver Island in their debut Netflix docuseries, titled Meghan & Harry.
Harry and Meghan now reside in California with their children, Archie and Lilibet, after plans to permanently split their time in the UK and North America were scrapped.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
The Duke of Sussex has publicly criticised the UK press in the past for intrusive coverage of his life, particularly regarding his mother Princess Diana’s death, which he believes was partly caused by paparazzi pursuit.
In a “monumental victory”, the prince secured a “full and unequivocal apology” for “serious intrusion into his private life as well as the private life of Diana, Princess of Wales“, his late mother, following a legal settlement with the publisher of The Sun (NGN) in January this year.
He has also been critical of the tabloid’s treatment of his wife, Meghan Markle, which he says contributed to their decision to step back from royal duties and the rift with his family.
