A security alert in east Belfast has ended with “nothing untoward” found.
The incident happened in the Marsh Wiggle-way area close to the Braniel estate, where bomb disposal teams responded to reports of a suspicious object.
Two disposal teams inspected the object.
The A55 was closed in one direction but has since re-opened.
A police spokesperson said: “Inspector McCrum said: “Army Technical Officers also attended the scene, and one lane of the Knock dual carriageway was closed as a public safety operation was carried out. “Nothing untoward was discovered at the location, and the road has now fully re-opened to traffic.”
