Canadian singer and songwriter Grimes is hitting out at her ex Elon Musk after the tech mogul bought their son X Æ A-Xii, 4, to the Oval Office this week.

During an appearance with Musk Tuesday at the White House, Trump signed an executive order to continue downsizing the federal workforce.

Musk stood next to the Resolute Desk with his son as Trump hailed the Tesla CEO’s work with his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for uncovering “shocking” evidence of wasteful spending.

The photo-op was the first time Musk has addressed the press since assuming control of the newly created department, in which he and his employees have been looking for ways to dial back government spending.

After Musk was tasked with finding inefficiencies, Trump said his team had unearthed “billions and billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse.”

As Musk fielded questions from reporters, X Æ A-Xii was photographed making faces, sticking his fingers in his dad’s ears, picking his nose and parading around as his father defended his plans to cut federal workers.

“I thought my son might enjoy this,” Musk laughed, “but he’s sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff. So it’s been hard to hear sometimes.”

Musk called DOGE’s work as “common sense” and “not draconian or radical.”

“The people voted for major government reform, and that’s what the people are going to get,” he said. “That’s what democracy is all about.”

“This is X, and he’s a great guy. High IQ. He’s a high IQ individual,” Trump said of the boy.

The White House posted video of“Little X” in the Oval Office that has been viewed over 281,000 times.

As video of her son made the rounds online, Grimes, who is the mother of three of Musk’s 12 children — including X, took to social media to blast her former partner for inserting their son into his dad’s press day.

On X, one follower tagged Grimes, whose legal name is Claire Boucher, and wrote: “Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT ‘Please forgive me, I need to pee.’”

“He should not be in public like this,” the singer replied. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

After the two split in 2022, Grimes has attempted to distance herself from Musk. When the billionaire was accused of using a Nazi salute in January, the Juno-winning artist was forced to defend herself.

“While I deeply respect your concern – it is unhealthy that people are this upset when I have not even been online yet today and am only just learning about this controversy now … It’s absurd that someone can be this cancelled for something their ex did before they even heard it happened,” she wrote in a lengthy post on X, replying to a fan who said they were going to unfollow her. “I am not him. I will not make a statement every time he does something. I can only send love back into a world that is hurting.”

She added, “In a world over stimulated by scandal, I feel a moral imperative to only add to the mess when something positive can be done … I promise you it doesn’t feel good to be hated all the time for things I don’t even know about, cannot predict and cannot control.”

Last summer, Grimes’ mom, Vancouver journalist Sandy Garossino, accused Musk of “withholding” the children from their family.

Back in 2023, Grimes sued Musk to gain parental rights to their three children. The two settled their custody dispute in Texas last August, Business Insider reported.

“Spent a year locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights having my instagram posts and modeling used as reasons I shouldn’t have my kids and fighting and detaching from the love of my life as he becomes unrecognizable to me,” the singer wrote in an X post last November addressing her legal battle with Musk. “I feel on top of the world right now. And everything that used to give me anxiety feels like child’s play after all this.”
