Meghan Markle has shared a personal message about her freckles with a young boy at the Invictus Games on Tuesday.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, considers her freckles as her “favourite feature”.
The mother of two is a proud advocate of freckles, using them as inspiration for her first book.
Meghan and Harry met Invictus Games enthusiasts during their visit to Canada, where they attended a welcome party in Whistler.

The duchess was spotted speaking to two young boys, whoappeared to ask the Californian-based royal about her freckles.
Meghan replied: “You know what they say?
“A face without freckles is a night without stars.”
The piece of inspiration seems to be a favourite saying of the Duchess of Sussex as she penned a children’s story titled “A Face without Freckles Is A Night Without Stars.”

Meghan submitted her freckles book to the US Copyright Office at the age of 15 on January 18, 1996.
Since then, the former actress has published several books including Sunday Times bestseller, The Bench released in 2021.
The duchess wrote: “Some people think freckles are strange, while I happen to disagree, because if I didn’t have freckles, then I would not truly be me!!!”
At the end of the book a message about the author revealed Meghan wrote the book as part of a school project.

It read: “Meghan Markle currently attends Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, California and enjoys watching television, spending time with her friends, and participating in musical comedies.
“Meghan wrote this book in the eighth grade as a school project and now wishes to continue writing throughout high school.
“She wants to take a moment to thank her mommy and daddy who gratefully spent their time and effort supporting her.”
Meghan still has a close relationship with her mum, Doria Ragland, but is not longer of speaking terms with her father, Thomas Markle, after their relationship first became strained when he allegedly posed for paparazzi photographs prior to Meghan’s royal wedding in 2018.
