Meghan Markle has broken her silence after she left Invictus Games in Canada to return to the US.

The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to post a photo showing Canadian treats and souvenirs brought back for her children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

The image revealed fruit in a bucket on a countertop and greenery visible through a window of the family’s California residence.

Among the treats were specially-made chocolates featuring mountain and bear paw shapes, along with the “I Am” logo, and Timbits – bite-sized doughnuts from Canadian chain Tim Hortons.

“Cheering you on from home!”

The 43-year-old duchess had spent the last five days at the Games with Prince Harry before returning home as planned.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet also received personalised gifts from Team Nigeria during the Games.

Custom jerseys featuring the children’s names were presented to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at a wheelchair basketball event in Vancouver on February 9.

Nigerian team manager Derrick Cobbinah told People: “We did one for him and one for M and for the kids.

“They said they would be excited to have them. She was very, very excited.”

While Meghan has now returned to California to be with the children, Prince Harry will remain in Canada until the Games conclude on February 16.

Speaking in Vancouver, Prince Harry expressed his appreciation for Meghan’s support at the event he founded in 2014.

He said: “To have my wife here supporting me is amazing. I love that she’s by my side.”

Prince Harry revealed that while his children haven’t yet attended the Invictus Games, they are “fascinated” by the event.

The Duke explained that Archie has started to ask questions about the competitors.
