Multiple fire crews rushed out to Redcliffe after a fire broke out at a landmark block of flats. The blaze began in a bin at Waring House on Redcliffe Hill at around 4.40pm today (Wednesday, February 12).
Witnesses report seven fire engines at the scene, with a police vehicle. Crews from Temple, Bedminster, Southmead, Hicks Gate, Kingswood and Nailsea were called out to the incident, Avon Fire and Rescue Service said.
The bin blaze was extinguished with a hose and the area ventilated.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “On Wednesday 12 February at 4:41pm, crews from Temple, Bedminster, Southmead, Hicks Gate, Kingswood and Nailsea were called to reports of a bin fire on Redcliffe Hill in Bristol.
“Crews extinguished the fire using a hose and then ventilated and made the scene safe.”
