NFL fans are going wild after a newly resurfaced video appears to show Tate McRae predicting the final score in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl win— over two years ago.

During an appearance with Rachel Marie on iHeartRadio’s Q102 Philly in 2023, McRae, 21, was asked to share her prediction for the final score in an upcoming Eagles game.

“This is football right?” the Juno winner replied. “I think it’s gonna be 70 and … No, it’s going to be 40 and 22.”

When asked who would be victorious, she said, “Obviously Philly.”

On TikTok, a clip of the exchange shared by the NFL on CBS has garnered more than 1.2 million “likes,” with many commenters marvelling at the Calgary native’s accuracy.

“That’s some serious crystal ball energy,” one person wrote. “She’s a fortune teller now.”

“Let’s be real… anyone who watches football would NEVER guess 40-22. It’s just not a probable score,” another person added.

One fan revealed how a friend’s brother made $26,000 betting $50 that the Eagles would beat the Kansas City Chiefs with the exact same score 40-22.

Even though the prediction came two years early, many other fans hailed her level of accuracy.

“Tate McRae, the secret sports analyst we never knew we needed!” one person wrote on X. “Who knew she had the vision?! Eagles fans must be loving this one.”

Holy f— she’s Nostradamus,” another added.

On YouTube, where a clip shared by ESPN has racked up nearly 119,000 views, one commenter reminded NFL fans that McRae was likely forecasting the outcome of a different game from the 2023 season.

For those missing the title, this was her prediction for the game in 2023, last time Eagles played Chiefs. She wasn’t guessing this Super Bowl score. Still a pretty wild prediction though,” they wrote.

Elsewhere in her chat with Q102 Philly, McRae was asked questions about the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and former Eagles centre Jason Kelce and had to place a sticker on her face for every answer that she got wrong.

It’s OK, she’s more of a hockey gal… but at least she tried,” the station captioned their post.

Alongside actor Will Arnett and fellow Canadian pop stars Justin Bieber and Michael Buble, McRae, who rose to prominence after becoming a finalist on the reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance, was an honorary captain at last year’s NHL All Star Game in Toronto.

McRae was also the headliner during the second intermission of the match.

Afterwards, Barstool Sports declared her the winner of the All Star Game.

“I am sure she gained many new followers from that performance,” one person commented.

When asked by GQ if she played hockey growing up, she replied: “Absolutely not. I remember I tried skating for one day when I was six years old, and I was a tragic skater, so my mom put me in ballet.”
