A 45-year-old Toronto woman faces multiple charges in connection with a fatal collision on Jan. 9.
Cops said that at about 2:10 p.m., they responded to a report of a collision involving a grey Volkswagen Atlas was travelling on Ashtonbee Rd., east of Warden Ave. The SUV then turned to enter a shopping plaza parking lot before striking an 87-year-old woman.
Police said the vehicle fled the scene and the victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries before succumbed to her injuries on Jan. 16.
On Tuesday, Patricia Lo was charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death, failure to stop at an accident scene causing bodily harm where death ensued and careless driving causing death.

COPS WARN OF LOST METHADONE
Toronto Police are warning the public about medication that was lost in Scarborough.
Cops said that on Monday at about 2:30 p.m., 12 containers of prescribed methadone (with about 110 ml of the drug in each) was lost in the Kennedy Rd.-Craiglee Dr. area.
Police said the medication could be harmful or fatal if ingested, especially to children.
