Lorraine Kelly experienced a red-faced moment following an accidental slip on Good Morning Britain, creating quite the buzz in the studio when she seemingly took a playful jab at host Ed Balls while live on-air. The 65 year old presenter had swung by the GMB set where Susanna Reid, 54, and Ed, 57, were positioned to give viewers a customary preview of what her programme had in store.
The chit-chat quickly shifted to the matter of wardrobe organisation.
Dilly Carter, hailing from Stacey Solomon’s show Sort Your Life Out, was prepared to join the Scottish host later to impart her closet-tidying wisdom and to propose the use of selling platforms for garments we’ve outgrown.
Inquisitive about eco-friendlier ways to repurpose unwanted clothing, Susanna probed into alternatives for recycling these pieces.

Offering her insights, Lorraine interjected: “And looking at your wardrobe, how many clothes do you actually wear? ” Bristol Live reports, reports the Mirror.
Expanding on her viewpoint, she said: “You know the way that I’ve got a fat wardrobe and a thin wardrobe,” which elicited chuckles from Susanna as Lorraine touched upon the relatable dilemma of underused clothing and the urge to declutter.
Tickled, Susanna enquired: “What’s a fat wardrobe and a thin wardrobe? “. Lorraine aimed to elucidate, explaining: “A fat wardrobe is like the kaftan type things,” and added: “You know big things,” as Susanna seemed puzzled by the entire notion.
“Right,” replied the GMB newsreader as Lorraine reflected, “You know when you’re feeling a bit fat.”
Realising her comment had not quite sunk in, she turned to Ed and sought agreement, declaring, “Ed knows what I’m talking about,” prompting an audible reaction from those on set. Ed navigated the uncomfortable moment with finesse, even humorously engaging at first.
Lorraine, sensing she might have overstepped, hastily tried to make amends, imploring Ed: “Ohh no, I don’t mean that no,” and stumbled to explain, “Just because you’re a fashion….”
It was then Ed came to the rescue of the Celebrity Gogglebox personality, relating: “I have a fat wardrobe and then I go on a diet and I try and use my thin wardrobe, when it doesn’t work I go back to my fat wardrobe.”
His understanding response evoked gratitude from Lorraine: “Thank you, see he looked me in the eye and I just knew that he knew what I was talking about, which is always a good thing because it doesn’t always happen,” while Susanna continued to laugh.
In a candid admission, Ed revealed, “I’m bailing you out now, I don’t have a fat wardrobe I just said that to avoid embarrassment.”
Attempting to restore some semblance of dignity, a somewhat embarrassed Lorraine commented, “Boys do though, everybody does, ” and attempting to shift the focus, she concluded, “Anyway we’ll talk about that with Dilly Carter, who is back to Sort Your Life Out.”
Concluding her segment with a touch of remorse, Lorraine mused, “I shall go away and think about what I’ve said.”
