DITCH THE AGENDA

Please ask all political leaders to instead of having petty ads about the other leaders’ faults, tell me what you’re going to do about provincial trade barriers and diversifying our trade economy with partners worldwide. Also, what are they going to do about crime and the catch-and-release program and do we have enough jails to hold all those criminals. We need answers to what is important for Canada, not a party’s agenda.

(Eventually they have to get around to telling us what they stand for)

LIBS HAVE TO GO

Meh, tariffs from Donald Trump — bring it on. You really think that tariffs, of any kind, can possibly be worse, more destructive, to Canada than this last decade under Trudeau? The only thing worse would be electing, against all common sense, these same Liberals to continue the madness.

(Trudeau did so much damage to our economy, it’s hard to fathom it getting worse)

BUY CANADA

For more than 50 years, I have been berated, called names, and lost friends for my insistence of buying Canadian. Did you buy a foreign car in the 70s or 80s? How about clothing from Asia? A vacuum cleaner? Tools, a lawnmower? Ever check the tags for product import? Starting very late 60s, I did. North America-made car plants started closing. I whined a little more as other sectors shrank. I had a good job and shopped at Eaton’s or such stores. I argued with guys about buying $10 jeans at K-Mart or such places. The Barton St. Arrow shirt outlet closed along with the Levi plant. Cougar shoes? It got worse every year. Our cars did improve to compete. So, now we’re going to go full speed ahead and save the country by buying a bag of cookies. My anger comes from Canadians not supporting their neighbours for years.

(We should always provide this much support for Canadian products)
