There are plenty of products out there that promise to improve your sleep – and one device has recently gone viral on TikTok that’s really caught my eye.

It’s called the SnoozeBand, which is a fancy eye mask that plays sound as you drift off. Using Bluetooth, you can connect the mask to calming audio of your choice.

According hundreds of positive reviewers, the product has been helping many to sleep soundly. So I decided to give it a go myself to see if it lived up to the hype. Here’s what I thought…

What is a Snoozeband?

A SnoozeBand is a type of wearable audio headband designed for comfortable listening while sleeping, meditating, or relaxing. It typically combines ultra-thin speakers or Bluetooth technology with a soft, stretchy, and lightweight headband that sits snugly around the user’s head.

SnoozeBands are particularly popular for people who want to enjoy music, white noise, audiobooks, nature sounds, or meditation sessions without the discomfort of traditional earbuds or headphones during rest or sleep.

The devices cost around £39.99 – and some say they are brilliant you are battling with insomnia. Light sleepers, or someone looking to block out noise like a partner’s snoring, have also raved about it.

My verdict

Now, I’m just going to put it out there and say that I was not a fan of the SnoozeBand. I’ve realised that in order to get my preferred nine hours of sleep, I need silence and not to have anything wrapped around my head.

The main problem I found was that it kept slipping down and just didn’t feel comfortable. However, when my partner asked to borrow it, his mind was blown and he absolutely loved it.

He said: “It’s great. I’ll be using it every day from now on. I like how comfortable it is. I’ve had dupes before, and the speakers hurt my ears when I lay on them, but this one is slimmer and easier to sleep on.

“I like the feature where it turns off after two hours because it’s just enough time for you to fall asleep soundly. It would work really well on planes, as it can double up as an eye mask or even when you’re out exercising as a headband. It definitely helped me to get to sleep faster without annoying Danielle by playing things out loud.”
