Pete Wicks has made a heartfelt promise to his close pal and podcast partner Sam Thompson ahead of Valentine’s Day. On the latest episode of their podcast Staying Relevant, Pete began by asking Sam if he was all good, to which he confirmed he was.
The ex Strictly Come Dancing contestant went on to tell his co-presenter that he is “always here” for him and added: “I love you and you can call me at any point, especially at the minute and this weekend.
“Anything you need to speak to me about, you can do.”
Sam, seemingly puzzled, asked why Pete was specifically pointing out the upcoming weekend, to which he replied: “No I’m just saying in general, at any point, you can talk to me about anything you need.”
Pete playfully went on to urge listeners to have a great weekend and advised people to keep an eye on single friends during what could be a challenging time.
Upon realising that the Strictly star was alluding to Valentine’s Day, a slightly panicked Sam exclaimed: “What the f**k am I going to do this weekend? No, I’m worrying about it now.”
Offering support, Pete jokingly consoled him: “I’m here for you, the whole team is here for you.”

However, Sam hit back: “I’ve been quite lonely. No you’re not, you’re not there for me because the house is still very lonely and you never come round.”
In a lighthearted twist, Pete quipped about desperation being the reason for his absence but reassured Sam of his availability.
Intrigued by what Pete was up to on the special day, he kept the attention on Sam and continued to say he’d be “on call” for him.
The Made In Chelsea star reportedly parted ways with his girlfriend of five years, Zara McDermott, in December.
An insider told the Mail Online: “It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.
“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.
“There has been no scandal or fallout between them, it’s just the result of a difficult year, where they both had to spend a lot of time focused on their own projects.”
Neither Sam nor Zara have gone public with the specifics behind their breakup, however, Sam recently revealed that it had been “a real tough month” for him, on their podcast.
