Meghan Markle showed a little love to a Canadian brand while she’s in B.C. for the Invictus Games.

The Duchess of Sussex wore an ivory coat from the Toronto-headquartered brand SENTALER during the opening ceremony of the 2025 games at B.C. Place. The long, belted style, which features ribbed detailing at the sleeves, is called the Baby Alpaca Maxi Trench Coat and retails for $2,590.

In a photo shared by the B.C. government, Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, are pictured walking beside B.C. Premier David Eby and his wife Cailey Lynch.

Lynch appeared to share Markle’s approach to dressing for the event, similarly wearing an off-white outerwear pick in the photo. Her blazer looks to be the Babaton Power Blazer from Vancouver-headquartered brand Aritzia in the limited-edition shade Light Birch ($228).

This isn’t the first time Markle has been spotted wearing SENTALER. She selected a cropped camel-coloured Cape with Shawl Collar and Belt ($1,750) from the Canadian outerwear brand when she visited Vancouver in Feb. 2024 to help promote the Invictus Games.

The Duchess’s Invictus outfits have been perfectly in keeping with her classic approach to fashion, including oversized blazers, a stunning brown dress from the brand A.L.C., and fitted, flared jeans from Veronica Beard, an American brand with plans to open a boutique in Vancouver this fall. We first reported on Markle’s style in 2016, when the then Suits star dished on her holiday style and her collaboration collection with Canadian retailer Reitmans. Nearly 10 years later, Markle’s comments on her less-is-more approach to fashion still ring true.

“Women who have understood fashion and style for so long have always known it’s not about having more pieces,” she said. “It’s about having the right pieces and having the pieces that are of a great quality and look like you know what you’re doing.”
