A teenager has been charged with attempted murder by police investigating a serious assault in Lisburn on Friday.
The 18 year old man has been charged to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday) after the incident in the Mountview Drive area in the early hours of Friday.
He has also been charged with a number of other offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit and indictable offence.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Two 19 year old men were previously charged to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Saturday in relation to this incident.
Jack Pedlow, from Causeway Meadows in Lisburn, and Michael Chitowo, of no fixed abode, face charges of attempted murder, possessing weapons with intent to commit attempted murder and being concerned in the supply of class B cannabis between December 1 2024 and February 1. Chitowo was further charged with possession of cannabis.
Both were remanded into custody until March 3.
