It’s the 144th meetings of the teams, the 71st in Scotland, with Ireland winning 71 times to the Scots’ 67 victories and there have been five draws.
“I just have a smile most of the time,” Lowe says. “I used to get bullied for running around with my tongue out as a kid. Like, that’s not something I’m trying to do on purpose.”
In the forwards the returning Jonny Gray will be in for a huge lineout battle with Peter O’Mahony alongside plenty of experience alongside their young co-captain Rory Darge who shares the duties with Russell.

Ireland interim head coach Simon Easterby originally made two changes to his team for Sunday’s Six Nations clash against Scotland in Murrayfield, as Robbie Henshaw and Peter O’Mahony earn starts today but a late injury to Mack Hansen means Calvin Nash is on the right wing today in his first Ireland appearance since South Africa last summer.
I’m Rian Noctor and I’ll be taking you through all the action. To start things off we have the latest from Murrayfield as Cian Tracey and Sinead Kissane preview the game.
