Dancing On Ice fans were left frustrated during the latest instalment of the ITV show as another celebrity was eliminated following a nail-biting skate-off. Presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern returned for another live episode on Sunday (February 9), with contestants including Chris Taylor, Sam Aston, and Charlie Brooks taking to the ice once more, each aiming to impress the judges and viewers with their routines.

However, it was former footballer Anton Ferdinand and his professional partner Annette Dytrt who found themselves in the dreaded skate-off against ex-Love Island contestant Chris Taylor and Robin Johnstone. Anton delivered an energetic performance to Ricky Martin’s hit ‘Livin’ la Vida Loca’, while Chris skated to ‘Golden Hour’ by JVKE.

Ultimately, one star’s journey had to end. Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, and Christopher Dean all chose to save Anton, and Jayne Torvill would have voted the same way, leading to Chris’s departure from the competition.

The judges’ decision sparked annoyance among Dancing on Ice viewers, with some claiming Chris was “their winner”. Fans took to social media to express their discontent, with comments like: “This is rigged #DOI”, “No way! That’s sad. Chris was my number 1.#DOI,” reports the Mirror.

Others showed sympathy for the departing contestant, with remarks such as “Sorry to see that chap go. Don’t know who he is but his skate was lovely. #doi”.

In an earlier twist, Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey became the first celebrity to leave Dancing on Ice, alongside her skating partner Andy Buchanan.

Ferne McCann was the next to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice during Week 3, alongside her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield. Sir Steve Redgrave became the third celebrity to leave the show on Sunday, February 2.
