Max O’Leary – 5
The Bristol City stopper didn’t have an awful lot to do in the opening 45 minutes given the home side’s dominance. Could have and maybe should have pushed the initial shot for Josh Tymon’s opener wider but produced a good save to deny Jisung Eom midway through the second half.
Luke McNally (off for Sam Bell, 73) – 6
McNally couldn’t have come any closer to opening the scoring than he did in the opening 45 minutes. His volleyed effort forced an excellent save from Lawrence Vigouroux in the first half. Could have done more for Swansea’s goal perhaps before he hobbled off in the second half.
Rob Dickie – 5
Should have done better with his first-half chances. His towering header midway through the opening period flew over the crossbar and he will feel he should have at least tested the goalkeeper. Perhaps his miss in the second half was worse however as he again found himself free at the back post but failed to hit the target. It’s not his job to score goals, but he can’t miss chances like those.
Zak Vyner – 6
The right-sided centre-back showed his excellent recovery pace in the first half as he produced a superb sliding tackle to pinch the ball from the feet of Zan Vipotnik. Some really nice passes down the right flank which found Mark Sykes in space. Didn’t have an awful lot of work to do but was solid enough for the most part.
Haydon Roberts – 5
Roberts was restored to the starting line-up following Ross McCrorie’s red card at The Kassam Stadium and had a mixed afternoon. He showed a few bright touches in possession but got caught out a fair few times without the ball. Looked more comfortable at centre-back than he did at wing-back.
Max Bird – 7
Having been left out of the starting line-up last weekend, the former Derby County man was at the centre of most of what the Reds did well in the first half. Some superb crosses from set pieces and some typical through balls that we have come to expect from him and probably one of his best games out of possession.
Jason Knight – 7
Alongside Knight, battled away in the middle of the park to give the Reds plenty of control. A few smart tackles and some good passes. He should have come away with at least one assist as he carved out several scoring chances for Dickie in particular.
Mark Sykes (off for Yu Hirakawa, 87) – 6
Having been so influential at Oxford last weekend, the Ireland international had a quiet start against the Swans but grew into the game in the second half. A few excellent attacking runs after the interval carved out some great chances for his teammates. Unfortunately, they just couldn’t quite take them. Needed to react quicker to the away side’s opener.
Anis Mehmeti (off for George Earthy, 62′) – 5
Not for the first time in recent weeks, the Albanian international was unable to have a major impact on proceedings. Although he showed some quality with some of his work on the left flank, he didn’t really create any chances of note before being withdrawn.
Scott Twine (off for Harry Cornick, 87′) – 6
The attacking midfielder did everything he could to try and impact proceedings, but just couldn’t produce that moment of magic that he has done, particularly at Ashton Gate, in recent weeks. Battled away out of possession as much as he could.

Nahki Wells (off for Sinclair Armstrong, 62) – 6
The 34-year-old led the line brilliantly as he once again battled against a backline much taller than him. Linked up play at the top end of the pitch well to bring his teammates into the game. Had to work hard for little reward before being replaced around the hour mark.
Substitutes:
Sinclair Armstrong – 7
Made a real impact in the second half as he caused the backline plenty of problems.
George Earthy – 6
Struggled to make a real impact.
Sam Bell – 6
Couldn’t have come much closer to scoring.
Yu Hirakawa – N/A
Harry Cornick – N/A
Good to see him back.
