Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect following an assault in Brampton earlier this month.
Peel Regional Police said the male victim was in the area of Dixie and Father Tobin Rds. on Feb. 1 between midnight and 1 a.m.
According to police, the victim approached the suspect and a verbal altercation ensued. The suspect then assaulted the victim and fled the scene.
Cops said the victim suffered non-life-threatening, yet significant injuries as a result of the assault.
The suspect is described as male, medium complexion, 5-foot-9 and approximately 25-30 years old. He has a skinny build, muscular, black hair that goes below the ears but above the shoulders, and a thin beard.
Investigators said the suspect was last seen fleeing in an older model Mercedes silver in colour with dark-tinted windows. Cops believe the first letter of the licence plate begins with the letter “C”.
