A man has fallen from a roof during an incident in west Belfast.
The incident happened in the Ross Road area of Divis shortly after 11pm last night.
Police attended a property and launched an investigation.
As officers arrived at the scene, a male shouted from an upstairs window, refusing to leave the property before arming himself with a knife.
Specialist armed response officers were dispatched and as they arrived the male crawled through a skylight onto the roof of the house.
Moments later he slipped and fell from the roof.
ARV officers provided first aid to the male, who has been taken to hospital for his injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “Police in west Belfast attended an address at Ross Road at around 11pm on Friday night.
“A male inside the property refused to leave when asked to by officers and armed himself with a knife before crawling through a skylight onto the roof of the house.
“A short time later the man slipped from the roof and fell to the ground below sustaining injuries requiring hospital treatment.
“The investigation is continuing.”
