A 39-year-old man has been arrested for a violent assault at a Mississauga mall last month.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to a disturbance at the rear of Westwood Square – located near Goreway Dr. and Derry Rd. E. – in Malton around 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 3.
“On arrival, officers found a victim, a man in his 40s suffering from severe facial injuries,” police said in a statement released Saturday, explaining it was determined the victim had been “attacked with some form of edged weapon.”
Investigators subsequently identified a suspect and took him into custody on Friday.
