TV chef Gino D’Acampo, a familiar face on This Morning, is currently embroiled in controversy with “dozens” of claims of “inappropriate behaviour” levelled against him.

The allegations accuse him of “sexually inappropriate behaviour” over more than 12 years, which he has categorically denied. However, ITV News has launched an inquiry into these accusations, gathering accounts from individuals who claim to have worked alongside Gino.

The celebrity chef has been implicated in making lewd comments, causing discomfort and uttering sexually charged remarks.

Prior to the emergence of these allegations, the 48-year-old was known for his travel show with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix, reports the Express.

Studio Ramsay, the production company behind Gino’s Italian Family Adventure and co-producer of Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018, issued a statement: “Studio Ramsay have not worked on a series with Gino D’Acampo since 2022.”

“We take all allegations of inappropriate behaviour and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigate and take appropriate remedial action when warranted.”

The ITV show Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip concluded in March 2023 following Gino’s announcement that he would not be returning for future seasons. This led to speculation about a rift among the renowned trio, which the chef from Italy addressed during a Heart Radio interview.

He divulged: “I love the boys, Gordon is a cool guy, Fred we’ve known each other for a long time. What happened was we tried to put the dates down to do the show and then all of a sudden they get cancelled.”

“We were supposed to film next month, in May, and end of January they told us we’re no longer filming in May it’s probably going to be October and November.”

Gino explained his frustration: “This is the second time it’s happened in a year. So I said, ‘we can’t do that because everybody has a block of dates, we need to work, we need to support our family’.”

“They said ‘this is what it is, we need to be able to move things around.'”.

Venting his dissatisfaction, Gino remarked: “The contract was also getting bigger and more stressful, so i thought let me get out of this before the friendship is going to suffer, I’d rather have the friendship and not have the show.”

Refuting the claims, Gino included this in his statement: “I have never been made aware of these matters previously, and the allegations are firmly denied.”

He stressed his stance, saying: “I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.”

He added with emphasis: “I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of.”

Addressing the grave nature of the allegations, he stated: “I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
