If being charged with impaired driving once wasn’t enough, a 35-year-old Oshawa man was hit with the same charge twice in three days.
And if that wasn’t enough, he was also charged with driving under suspension.
Durham Regional Police said officers conducted a traffic stop on Monday at about 8:50 p.m. near Grandview St. N. and Beatrice St. E. in Oshawa.
After speaking with the driver, officers administered a roadside screening test, which allegedly registered a “fail.” The driver was arrested and further testing allegedly revealed a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit.
Two days later, on Wednesday at about 8:40 a.m. in the same area as the earlier incident, officers conducted a traffic stop after allegedly observing a male driver using his cellphone.
After speaking with the driver, officers administered a roadside screening test, which again allegedly registered a “fail.”
The driver was arrested and taken to the division for a breathalyzer, which allegedly revealed a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit.
