A 62-year-old Mississauga man embroiled in a neighbour dispute has been charged with attempted murder and police say thousands of rounds of ammunition have been seized.

According to Peel Regional Police, on Jan. 24 around 10 a.m., two neighbours were arguing in the area of Rathburn Rd. W. and Perivale Rd. when one of the men was shot.

The victim was taken to a trauma centre and police say he is expected to make a full recovery. No other information on the victim such as age was released.

On Jan. 25, police officers executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and allegedly seized numerous firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and other weapons.

Richard Loo faces 10 charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, utter threats, assault, discharge firearm, possession of firearm, carry concealed weapon, possession at  unauthorized place, careless storage of a firearm, and point firearm.

He was held pending a bail hearing in Brampton.
