LET’S GO CANADA!

A wise man once said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Canadians are awake. Every day, I hear people’s disgust at the tariff threats. They are taking action with their spending habits and are buying Canadian products. Everything from soap and shampoo to kitchen towels, coffee and hamburgers. Canada has all we need. We are Canadian. We are OK with the basics and we can take a punch. Thank you, President Trump, for waking us up.

(It’s time to increase our production here, bring back manufacturing and get our natural resources to countries around the world that want to buy it)

RETURN OF TRUDEAU

Perhaps instead of booing, just stand and turn your back in silence — that makes more noise than trying to be vocal when in protest. Meanwhile, if Trudeau, who was down and out, stood for leader of the Liberal Party again, he would win both the nomination and the federal election. As the worm turns, so to speak, in popularity. Canada has never been more together than now — perhaps also all Canadians could thank Donald Trump.

(Don’t give him any ideas)

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT KEY

Does anyone who writes Opinion pieces for The Toronto Sun care about the environment? In this day and age, when we’re on the verge of environmental collapse, the idea of building without taking the impact it has on the world into account sounds insane. I know that other countries don’t do enough, but we have to try. What will happen if there are no limits to development? We have to be smart but bulldozing everything without thought is not the answer.

(No one is suggesting acting irresponsibly — but it is high time we removed some of the barriers to development)

GRAMMY MALFUNCTION

Bianca Censori being allowed onto the red carpet for even a small amount of time while being in a see-through nude dress is nowhere near the realm of acceptability. The Grammys need to be held accountable for letting her inside. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

(Remember Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” and the outrage and changes followed? We are a long way from that, and Censori achieved her goal of everyone talking about her — not in a good way)
