The BBC has announced a shake-up of some of its flagship weekend slots.
Mike Edgar and Kathy Clugston are set to front two shows.
It comes amid wider changes at Radio Ulster which are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Edgar will present a Saturday night edition of The Late Show while Clugston will present the long-running Sunday Club.
Much-loved presenter John Bennett was ‘President’ of the programme for more than 44 years, until his death last year.
Ralph McLean has stood in as guest presenter of Saturday Club and Sunday Club since spring 2024.
Both presenters have said they are excited for their new roles.
Clugston described Sunday Club as “a very special programme”.
“John Bennett brought so much pleasure to listeners over the years, it will be an honour to sit in his seat,” she said.
“Late-night radio has always been my favourite, and now I also get to share wonderful music from the last 100 years.
“The early part of the 20th century will still be the main focus – there’ll be a bit of everything, from jazz, blues and classical to novelty songs, classic crooners and Broadway hits.
“Sunday Club is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a busy week; it’s the place where anyone of any age can find old favourites and hopefully discover some new ones.”
Meanwhile, Mike Edgar is returning to the BBC for a Saturday edition of The Late Show.
He was previously head of entertainment, music, events and sport for BBC NI.
Edgar said: “I am totally thrilled to have been invited back to BBC Radio Ulster to present what I hope will be two hours of very enjoyable music and chat every Saturday night.
“BBC Radio Ulster is where my broadcasting career started and to return to the fold almost 40 years later is bit of a dream come true.
“I have been privileged to a wonderful life in music and I hope I can share some of the stand out songs and encounters that have crossed my path on that journey,” he said.
It is understood the BBC is looking to shake up some programming and presenting line-ups at Radio Ulster in the coming months.
A series of well-known BBC names have left in the last year.
In December Anne Marie McAleese, who presents Your Place And Mine, announced she was leaving.
Last September Lynette Fay, who had been with BBC NI since 2001 and presented her own afternoon show on Radio Ulster since 2019, revealed she was leaving.
Announcing her departure on air, Ms Fay said it was time for her to “move on, evolve and embrace the new opportunities awaiting me”.
And last January, Linda McAuley, host of On Your Behalf, stepped down after almost three decades of helping listeners with their consumer rights issues.
She said it was a “pleasure and an honour” to have been the voice of consumers for almost 30 years and seeing how the world changed in that time.
