There has been widespread shock across Co Armagh after the deaths of three young men within a matter of days.
The three deaths are not connected.
The first to pass was father-of-two Liam Martin Nolan of Newry and formerly of Craigavon.
He passed away at his home on 1 February.
A death notice described Liam as the “beloved partner of Julie-Anne, and much loved daddy of Liam and Courtney, beloved son of John and Rosaleen, loving granda to Shane, Olivia and Darragh, and brother of Maria, Michael and Roseann”.
Liam’s funeral will take place in St Paul’s Church with interment afterwards in Lurgan Cemetery.
John Cassidy of Derrytrasna passed away the following day.
He was described as a highly regarded community worker.
His death notice described John as a “dearly loved son of Aidan and Lynn, a cherished brother of Suzanne (Reece) and Emma (Andrew) and a proud Godfather of Luan. He was also a loving grandson to the late Kathleen and Jack Cassidy and the late Jim and Pauline Allen, as well as a much-loved nephew and cousin.”
In a social media post, the ABC Community Network paid tribute to John.
“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved colleague, John Cassidy, who passed away on Saturday, 2nd February.
“John was more than just a valued team member, he was a cherished friend whose warmth, kindness, and dedication touched us all. His presence will be deeply missed, and words cannot fully express the impact he had on our team.
“As we take time to grieve and honour John’s memory, ABC Community Network will be closed on Thursday, February 6, and Friday February 7. This will allow our team to pay their respects, support one another, and reflect on the privilege of having known John.
“On behalf of everyone in ABC Community Network, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to John’s family. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”
John’s funeral will take place on Thursday at 10.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Derrytrasna where Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11.00am.
Burial afterwards will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
The third man, Ross Allen from Banbridge, passed away at home on Monday. He was recently made a father of one.
In an social media post, one of Ross’s friends paid tribute to him: “I am at a loss for words right now. One of the nicest people in the entire world and was there for me when I needed a friend at the lowest part of my life.
“It was only last week that you rang me for a chat and we sat laughing away down the phone and planned to meet up for a good catch up like we used to.
“I can’t believe I’m even writing this. Another one of the best gone too soon. Rest in Peace Ross Allen, you can fly high with the rest of the angels now.”
A death notice described Ross as the “precious son of Doris and Dougie, beloved brother of Leigh, her partner Chris, devoted dad of Caitlyn, dearest uncle of Olivia, partner of Shauna and step-son of Harvey.”
His funeral service will be conducted in William Bell & Co Funeral Home, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR on Friday at 12noon. Committal following in Banbridge New Cemetery.
