Two people were found dead and two others are in custody after a shooting incident at a home in South Glengarry township on Sunday night.

At about 9 p.m., officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment responded to what police said in a statement began as a home invasion at a residence on Old Highway 2.
Two men were found dead in the home with gunshot wounds and a firearm was seized at the scene, police said. A third person had fled the scene before officers arrived, the news release stated, adding that an extensive search of the area was conducted. “It is believed the individual may have left the area,” police said in the release.
The residents of the home were not injured, police said.
“There is no threat to public safety as the incident is believed to be targeted,” the release stated.
South Glengarry is located about 120 kilometres southeast of Ottawa.
