The results show that while Edinburgh and Glasgow top the list for budget-conscious couples, the lively city of Liverpool is hot on their heels. Finding money to celebrate their love, around 65% of Brits are set to mark Valentine’s Day this year.

To enjoy a little love for less, the experts created an index considering factors like affordable hotels, bars, restaurants, spa days and romantic activities. Offering the best value for money, Liverpool achieved a solid score of 56.60 on the index.

The city, with its vibrant culture and historical allure, is perfect for couples looking for a romantic but affordable experience. It boasts the second-highest number of budget-friendly 4-star+ hotels, with 603 options offering luxury without the hefty price tag.

With a buzzing social scene, the city also has the highest number of affordable pubs and bars, with 22 different venues ready to welcome you as you relax together. Rich in musical heritage and stunning architecture, Liverpool proves that romance doesn’t have to break the bank, reports the Mirror.
