22 Kids and Counting fans quickly took to social media to storm Sue Radford’s Instagram with messages after some confusion over a missing episode.

Viewers of the Channel 5 series were awaiting a new episode only to find it wasn’t on the schedule, with Sue forced to issue an apology as she responded to the messages.

Mother-of-22 Sue keeps viewers entertained off-screen as she and husband Noel document moments of their daily life as part of Britain’s largest family.

They also have a big social media presence, so when fans realised there was no new episode when they had been expecting one, they turned to Instagram to message the Radford matriarch.

In response, Sue shared on her Stories on Sunday: “Wow my messages have blown up.

“I’m so sorry everyone but no [programme] tonight or for a little while.

“But rest assured we are still very busy filming new episodes for you and we can’t wait to share with you all [what] we have been getting up to.”

She signed off the message: “In the meantime you can always rewatch all the series on my5 @channel5_tv but we will be back on your screens soon.” (sic)

The latest series only began airing a few weeks ago, taking up the 8pm Sunday slot on Channel 5.

After only four episodes, it’s understandable fans were left confused by an absence of any new instalment last weekend.

Taking to X, some fumed about the schedule on Channel 5 “chopping and changing”.

One penned: “22 Kids and counting goes missing again for at least the next two weeks. Why do you keep chopping and changing programmes? It’s pointless and infuriating.”

Another asked: “Not on tonight 2 Feb or showing in the listing. Has it finished?”

Others flooded the family’s YouTube channel with questions, with one asking: “What happened?”

“Why isn’t on on Sunday? Surely there [isn’t] just these few episodes,” another pointed out.

Responding, another echoed: “That’s what I thought why isn’t it on, on Sunday this week.”

Replying, Sue explained: “We are timing 12 episodes in total for this block of filming so more are coming out between now and May time.”

Other complaints surrounding the show recently has seen fans slamming what they believed to be “staged” scenes.

“I thought this episode was very much staged for the cameras and not natural like previous episodes,” one said of the latest instalment.
