Rory McIlroy took his career winnings on the PGA Tour to a whopping $94,589,348 when he held off Shane Lowry to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The Holywood star (35) pocketed a cool $3,600,000 for his two-shot win — or $13,483 for every shot played on the iconic Monterey Peninsula.

He remains third in the all time list behind Tiger Woods ($120.9m) but is now just $2 million behind second ranked Phil Mickelson ($96.6m).

It was also a lucrative day for Lowry, who birdied the par-five 18th to break out of a tie for second with Lucas Glover and Justin Rose and win $2,160,000.

Had he parred the last, Lowry would have won $1,493,333 for a three-way tie for second.

But he got up and down from 86 yards, brushing in a five footer that was worth an extra $666,667.

“Honestly, like halfway up 18 I was just rooting for Shane to make four so he would finish second on his own,” McIlroy said before giving Lowry a lift back to West Palm Beach in his Gulfstream G65, which is worth around $40 million. “So that’ll make our flight home a little bit better for both of us.”

McIlroy has earned far more than $94 million on the PGA Tour as that figures does not include his FedExCup bonuses since 2007, which have netted him three FedExCup wins and another $63 million.

Lowry has also done well on the PGA Tour with Sunday’s pay-day taking his career earnings in the US, not including FedExCup or PIP bonuses, to $25,385,759.

West Waterford’s Seamus Power tied for 17th to win $272,000 and take his career haul from tournament winnings on the PGA Tour to $14,308,235.

Total prize money on the PGA Tour is $538.1 million this year with the winner of the FedEx Cup getting another $25 million from a $100 million bonus pool.

With 27 PGA Tour wins, McIlroy is 21st in the all time winners list topped by Woods and Sam Snead with 82 victories.
