A Home Bargains shopper says her hair has “never felt better” since using a £2 shampoo. Taking to TikTok as @Jessmcg_, she revealed how wowed she was by the beauty find after following a haircare specialist’s advice, claiming it has completely transformed her haircare routine.

She’s even ditched her high-end shampoos in favour of the budget-friendly alternative. As highlighted in one of Jess’s videos, she loves Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo.

Her vlog shows her stocking up on Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo, priced at just £1.99 at Home Bargains. She invited her followers along for the shopping journey, saying: “Come along with me. We’re going to need a trolley for this one because I’m not holding back.”

Jess continued: “I did actually need to grab a few bits I’d run out of, one of the things being this Dove shampoo. I absolutely swear by it. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.” She credited a trichologist—a hair and scalp expert—who recommended the product on TikTok for steering her to the game-changing solution.

“Since following her recommendations my hair has never felt better. I’ve ditched a lot of my high-end shampoos,” she added. Jess said that she uses a clarifying shampoo once a week and puts a Pantene Keratin Shampoo in her basket, the Mirror reports.

According to Abbey Yung, a trichologist who posts on TikTok as @Abbeyyung, Dove Intensive Repair is a great choice for hair that needs a little TLC. She claimed: “Dove Intensive Repair is hands down the most unsexy shampoo and conditioner that I recommend.

“Like, I was even sketched out to try this the first time strictly because of the packaging, but I’m so glad that I did because the ingredients are incredible for damaged hair and my hair feels amazing after I use these.”

On Dove’s website, the Intensive Repair shampoo is touted as a product that helps to strengthen damaged hair “from within”. It also is “enriched with unique Smart Target Technology to target and repair damage”, and Fibre Repair Actives to help “reconstruct inner hair fibre”.

Neither the Dove Intensive Repair shampoo nor conditioner are listed on Home Bargains’ website. However, shoppers can find their nearest store using the locator tool on the website.
