Canadian intimates brand Knix has teamed up with body-confidence advocate and creator Sarah Nicole Landry and activist and storyteller Sarain Fox to launch an all-new collection celebrating female bodies of all types, coined Powerful Pairings. The collection is available now in sizes XS to XXXXL.
Landry, of @thebirdspapaya fame, has amassed over 2.5 million followers on social media thanks to her authentic approach to storytelling, particularly around the vulnerabilities of motherhood and life as a woman outside of “typical” beauty standards. As an advocate for body positivity, collaborating with Knix, a brand heralded for inclusivity and self-acceptance came naturally.
“Knix’s values and mission of empowering people to live unapologetically free at any age and any stage, while pushing taboos is what my platform is all about,” says Landry.
We caught up with her to discuss the partnership, her favourite pieces in the new collection and what’s next for her.
Q&A with Sarah Nicole Landry, @thebirdspapaya
Q:Who are you?
A: I’m Sarah Nicole Landry, a body-confidence advocate, content creator, podcast host, model and mom of four. I run The Bird’s Papaya, where I share my journey of embracing my body, motherhood and everything in between. I’m passionate about creating a space where women can feel seen, heard and celebrated for exactly who they are — “imperfections” and all. It’s important for me to have a platform that opens up conversations about loving yourself through change, mental health and breaking down the unrealistic standards we so often see online. I share my story, the good and the not-so-good, hoping that it helps others feel less alone and more empowered to love themselves just as they are. My goal is to encourage people to embrace their bodies and find beauty in the real, raw moments of life.
Q: Whywork with Knix?
A: They’re a brand that truly understands the importance of self-love and living unapologetically free. My first relationship with Knix began as a model for one of their campaigns. Joanna [the founder] told me that I had a great platform and that I should really lean into it. It was Joanna’s encouragement that led me to take a chance and do The Bird’s Papaya full-time.

I am passionate about encouraging people to do what makes them feel their best and not let the opinions of others and society at large dictate how they live their lives. I love that Knix focuses on real comfort, real life and breaking down unrealistic beauty and body standards. We birth, we bleed, we change, we ebb and we flow, and we need a brand that meets us there.
Q: In your opinion, how does Knix support inclusivity and body positivity?
A: Over the years I’ve been able to see and feel the impact more. From postpartum to aging, even campaigns around taboo topics that I didn’t realize I carried shame about, truly change your mindset. Knix supports inclusivity and body positivity by offering a wide range of sizes and showcasing all sorts of bodies, ages and experiences in their marketing. It’s not about conforming to traditional beauty standards, but about feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin and it’s stunning. They focus on making products that prioritize comfort, and their messaging is all about self-acceptance rather than perfection. Plus, they actively listen to their community and evolve based on real feedback, which shows they’re genuinely committed to supporting their customers.
Q: What are your favourite pieces from the new collection?
A: My newest obsession is the Gossamer Lace Bra. It’s one of my all-time favourites. The fabric is incredibly comfortable (for all-day wear), sexy and super cute. I love pairing it with the Gossamer Lace French Cut underwear; they just fit perfectly and stay in place all day. I’m loving the new Lilac and Oyster colours from the Powerful Pairings Collection. I don’t think we need to always choose comfort over sexy so I love that it’s both.
Outside of this collection, I love Knix basics from their WingWoman Contour Bra, super soft sleep sets and high-rise underwear — for years they’ve been a go-to for me!
Q: What other apparel brands do you love?
A: I love Smash+Tess, Brunette the Label, Pandora and Quickies (press on nails).
Q: What do you never leave the house without and why?
A: I always throw on a pair of LeakProof High Rise thong underwear, a nude pink lipstick, a cell phone charger and probably a Diet Coke.
Q: What’s next for you?
A: No clue and I love that. My goal for the last few years has been to say yes to life and do things that scare me or make me a little uncomfortable. It’s challenged me and brought me through some of the coolest experiences. So for what’s next — it’s more saying “yes.”
