Jo Malone fans are being urged to make their way to their nearest Morrisons for a brand new reed diffuser. On social media, shoppers say the supermarket’s new perfumed homeware item is a dead ringer for the more expensive designer brand, which usually costs double or triple figures.

On TikTok, one impressed customer, Libbie May Fitzpatrick, uploaded a video of her latest shopping trip. In it, she picks up a reed diffuser in a black and white box on sale for only £3 in Morrisons’ clearance section.

“If you love Jo Malone Pomegranate, you need to get down to Morrisons,” she declared. “This massive diffuser is only £3, and it smells absolutely amazing.” In the caption she told viewers once more: “OMG SMELLS AMAZING.”

The £3 diffuser is Georges Rech’s Pomegranate Grenade Diffuser de parfum. The high-end brand is know for selling various fashion and beauty items, including clothes, shoes and perfumes.

You can now get its 180ml pomegranate diffuser for a few quid, allowing homeowners to fill their home with a luxury scent for less. Based off packaging alone, the diffuser could be easily mistaken for Jo Malone by a glance.

But according to Libbie, the smell also rivals Jo Malone’s bestselling Pomegranate Noir Cologne. You can get the brand’s signature scene in a 165ml diffuser for £74.

Compared to the £3 Georges Rech diffuser, which comes in a bigger 180ml bottle and several reeds, shoppers stand to save £71. According to Jo Malone, its £74 diffuser is said to last continuously for approx 3-4 months, meaning the £3 version is likely to last just as long or slightly more.

Morrisons isn’t the only retailer giving Jo Malone fans the opportunity to enjoy a taste of luxury for cheap. Lidl sells hand wash for £1.99 each, and they have scents similar to those of the iconic brand.
