The Masked Singer viewers believe they’ve cracked the identity of Pufferfish. The TV show returned to our screens on Saturday night (February 1), with the remaining disguised celebrities showcasing their singing talents.
Performances were given by Bush, Dressed Crab, Wolf, Kingfisher and Snail, all aiming to keep their identities under wraps. Joel Dommett resumed his role as host, alongside judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan, who teamed up to guess the celebrities hidden beneath the extravagant costumes.
So far, we’ve seen Toad In The Hole revealed as Macy Gray, Pegasus as Prue Leith, Spag Bol as Kate Garraway, Carol Decker as Tattoo and Mel Giedroyc as Teeth. However, during the latest episode, fans had plenty to say about Pufferfish.
This beloved character has quickly become a favourite, frequently impressing with their vocal prowess. In their VT on Saturday night (February 1), one clue was a photo of Coronation Street icon Helen Worth, known for her role as Gail Platt.
The masked celebrity then delivered a stunning performance of Don’t Rain on My Parade. Following this, Jonathan Ross speculated that Pufferfish could be Jodie Pregner from Coronation Street, who joined the soap in 2022 as Glenda Shuttleworth, reports the Mirror.
While some fans agreed with the speculation, others believe that Pufferfish is actually soap star Kym Marsh, who portrayed Michelle Connor on Coronation Street from 2006 to 2019. On X, one user commented: “Pufferfish is kym marsh or Jodie prenger.”
Another viewer shared a similar sentiment, writing: “Either Kym Marsh or Jodie Prenger is Pufferfish.”
A third fan confidently stated: “Pufferfish is definitely Kym.”
Meanwhile, some fans suspect that West End star Samantha Barks, who rose to fame on the BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008, might be the celebrity behind Pufferfish.
The Masked Singer continues on Saturday on ITV1.
