A teenager has died at a go-kart venue. The incident happened in Stoke-on-Trent and saw multiple 999 crews attend.
Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious. Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were dispatched to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke on Friday evening at 8.15pm. Police remained at the centre on Waterloo Road in Burslem into the early hours of Saturday morning.
TeamSport Go Karting Stoke has not commented. StokeonTrentLive report that the centre is open for business as usual today.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke following reports of a cardiac arrest. Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were already there and found a man in his late teens unresponsive at the scene. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner. Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.”
