Leopard print will always be considered as a neutral in our books. Whether it’s in a pair of jeans or a knitted jumper, it’s a staple print that can add class, sass and a whole lot of style to an outfit in one fell swoop with zero effort. And one particular cardigan from Next has caught our attention for its elegant and versatile finish, not to mention it’s described as being ‘so comfortable’.
Costing £36, the Neutral Brown Leopard Animal Soft Touch Button Up Pocket Knitted Cardigan also comes in a vibrant olive green hue, and is made from a mix of recycled polyester, acrylic, recycled wool and elastane.
The ‘transitional must-have’ has a regular fit that is relatively boxy, making it ideal for layering. The cardigan has block-colour ribbed hems that contrast the leopard print nicely alongside the chunky tortoise shell buttons.

Crafted with two square patch pockets, the crew necked cardigan is ideal for a whole host of occasions, from office days – paired with a blouse, some wide leg trousers and boots – to coffee dates with jeans and your fave trainers. It’s received some high praise from fashion enthusiasts on Next’s website.
It has an impressive 4.5 star rating with the only negative point being that it comes up rather large, causing shoppers to size down. One person said: “I bought the leopard animal print [cardigan] a few months back.. and have worn it on many occasions.. and have had so many compliments and inquiries as to where I bought it… it is stunning.. just so very unique and simply so comfortable and just goes with so many different outfits.”
Another echoed the praise and said: “I LOVE this jumper. I wanted a nice warm cardigan in the house and this fits the bill perfectly. Also nice to wear out.” They did add how “it does bobble but that can be removed. It is so warm, I just cant stop wearing it.”
“Its a bit big in the body but its okay for what I want it for,” they concluded. A third added: “Lovely design and colours. Not cheap looking like some leopard prints can look. Runs big but I think that’s the design of it. I chose the small and I’m a 14 and fits perfect.”
For a similar design that’s more fitted and dainty, Nobody’s Child’s leopard print crew neck knitted cardigan is £65 and has more of a close cut. If you like the chunkiness of the cardigan and the cut but not necessarily the colours, New Look has a really similar design but in a deep burgundy red for £35.99.
Alternatively, for a lighter style that’s more delicate but still powerful with a leopard-style print, Marks & Spencer’s animal print crew neck cardigan is £39.50 and features a larger print on a cream background.
