Molly-Mae is one of the biggest influencers in the UK, shooting to stardom after appearing on the fifth season of Love Island and coming third with ex-fiance Tommy Fury.

Since her appearance on reality television, Molly-Mae has successfully built a loyal audience of followers, became creative director for Pretty Little Thing, and last year launched her debut fashion brand Maebe.

This month, the 25-year-old released the first three episodes of her tell-all docuseries Molly Mae: Behind It All, with Amazon Prime.

And as well as promoting the clothes from Maebe, which sold out in 24 minutes, Molly-Mae’s fashion caught the eye of viewers, with one item in particular becoming a favourite.

The influencer sported a burgundy rugby shirt while promoting her docuseries, and now shoppers have been left delighted after spotting a £12 dupe in Primark that bears a striking resemblance to the one seen on TV.

The long sleeved polo top comes in two colour variations – brown with pink and white stripes, or burgundy with blue and white stripes just like Molly-Mae’s.

It is stocked in sizes XS to XL and is available for click and collect if you want to make sure your local store has it in stock.

Describing the product on their website, Primark write: “Don’t worry, you don’t need to know the rules of polo to wear this striped long sleeve polo top (but being versed in fashion rules may help).

“The classic collar adds a preppy twist, while the relaxed fit keeps things laid-back and effortless.

“The contrasting white collar and button placket are signature to the classic polo top (which we love). Play with textures and pair your polo top with jeans or pleated skirts.”

And on social media, people are already loving it

One woman imitated the scene from Mean Girls saying, “I saw Molly Mae wearing a striped rugby top so…” and showing her purchasing the top.

Others called the top “cute” and “gorgeous”.

Since fans discovered the perfect dupe, the jumper has been sold out in many stores, and even been resold on Vinted for a higher price.
