Stephen Bunting has denied that his son, Theo, was born as a result of a ‘night of passion’ following his victory at the World Masters 12 months ago.

And the 39-year-old will be hoping to go all the way in 2025 as he targets a second straight triumph in the competition.

Bunting won the Masters in Milton Keynes 12 months ago, with ‘The Bullet’ toppling Michael van Gerwen in order to reign supreme.

Nine months later, the darts star and his wife Keila welcomed their second son, Toby.

Darts fans immediately suggested that Theo was born as a result of a night of passion between Bunting and his other half.

Yet the veteran has now set the record straight by issuing a firm denial.

“There’s definitely not going to be any more babies! This is the last one for sure,” he said, per The Sun.

“People put one and three together, didn’t they? And started making assumptions.

“I can assure you after the win in the Masters last year, Keila had already gone home. Is that my story? 100 per cent.”

Bunting pocketed £65,000 after beating Van Gerwen 11-7 in last year’s Masters final.

But with the tournament undergoing changes, the top prize is now a staggering £100,000.

Bunting recently cut an emotional figure after winning the Bahrain Masters with a victory over Rob Cross earlier this month.

And he admits that it was an emotional experience for him in the Middle East, especially when he spoke to his family after his triumph.

“Winning means so much to us, given the amount of hours we put in,” he continued.

“People don’t see the preparation, the sacrifice of being away from our families a lot.

“What hits me more than anything is when I start talking about the family.

“Winning the Masters last year was another special moment.

“Especially as I had my family there as well and celebrated the win with them.

“I’d love to be able to defend it again. There’s no pressure.

“I’ll go into it with the same mindset as every tournament in the last 12 months, I’m going in there to win.

“I believe I have the game to do that.”

Bunting managed to beat William Borland 3-2 in his Masters opener on Thursday, having initially trailed 2-0 before staging a terrific comeback.
