Marcus Rashford has turned down a move to Tottenham as the saga surrounding his Manchester United future drags on, according to reports.

The 27-year-old is keen to leave Old Trafford after being frozen out by Ruben Amorim, having last played for the club on December 12.

Amorim recently raised eyebrows by saying he’d rather play his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach than Rashford due to what he perceives to be a lack of effort on the winger’s part.

While that’s the case, however, the 40-year-old has insisted United are stronger with the forward than they are without due to his pace and potency.

Now, according to the Guardian, Rashford has had several offers on the table but turned them down.

It’s claimed Tottenham were interested, only for the United star to rebuff their approaches as he targets a move to Barcelona.

Barcelona are, in principle, willing to cover the majority of Rashford’s huge £375,000-a-week salary.

Yet the Catalan giants will have to generate funds in order to bring the England international to the Nou Camp due to their precarious financial situation.

One player who could hold the key to Rashford moving abroad is Ansu Fati.

The winger has never fulfilled his potential at Barcelona and Ajax are keen on recruiting him as the close of the January transfer window creeps closer.

Yet United face the potential awkward situation of Rashford staying and being on the fringes of the action in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Should Rashford go, the newspaper claims United would target a deal for Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel.

Tel will be allowed to depart the Bundesliga side this winter, having failed to score a goal since the appointment of Vincent Kompany back in the summer.

However, United aren’t the only team keen on the 19-year-old with Tottenham and Aston Villa also battling to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, Roy Keane recently opened up on Rashford.

And the Red Devils icon fumed at the winger, insisting he should feel ‘ashamed’ by Amorim’s public blasting.

“I can’t get involved in the conversation,” he told the Stick to Football podcast.

“I still can’t understand at any level – whatever’s going on with players leaving, months left on contracts – a player who doesn’t train properly.

“I don’t understand it; you might as well leave me out of this conversation.

“Especially if you think he wants to move, which is more of a reason to train properly so when you go to a new club you’re up to speed and when you leave the club at least you showed a decent attitude. He must be ashamed.”
