A man and a woman have been left “extremely shaken” after a brick was used to smash five windows of their home in north Belfast.

Police responded to a report of criminal damage shortly before 2.50am on Friday after two men trageted the property in the North Queen Street area.

The suspects made off from the scene in a dark-coloured SUV type vehicle, which headed towards the New Lodge.

The PSNI said the occupants, who were inside at the time, escaped physical injury but have been left “extremely shaken” by the ordeal.

A spokesperson added: “We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the North Queen Street area during this time or who may have noticed two men acting suspiciously to get in touch.

“One suspect was wearing dark clothing, whilst the second suspect was wearing a two tone grey top, grey bottoms and white trainers.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has mobile, doorbell or CCTV footage that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 141 of 31/01/25.

“Alternatively, a report can be made using the online reporting form.”
