A 39-year-old man is accused of pretending to be visually impaired and lost before sexually assaulting a woman in East York.

Toronto Police say officers responded Monday to a sexual assault call in the area of Pape and Gamble Aves.

Police allege the accused approached two women, claimed to be visually impaired and lost, and asked for their help in getting home.

Once the women reached the residence, police allege the accused sexually assaulted one of them.

Cops subsequently identified and arrested a suspect.

Enayatullah Amiri, of Toronto, is charged with sexual assault.

Police are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims, so an image of the accused has been released.

RICHMOND HILL MAN, 20, CHARGED IN DEADLY CRASH

A 20-year-old man is accused of dangerous driving following a fatal crash in North York last fall.

Toronto Police say the crash happened at Don Mills Rd. and Havenbrook Blvd. – just north of Hwy. 401 – shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2024.

It’s reported that a 68-year-old man was driving a black Ford Edge north on Don Mills, trying to turn west onto Havenbrook, while the 20-year-old was operating a black BMW M55 south on Don Mills when the vehicles collided in the intersection.

The driver of the Ford Edge died in hospital.

Ahmad Rashidi, of Richmond Hill, was charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death on Wednesday.

SUSPECTS SOUGHT FOR FRAUD

A man and a woman are sought for suspected debit card fraud in North York.

In a news release issued Friday, Toronto Police said the victim reported their wallet stolen on May 28 and several transactions were completed with their debit card in the Bathurst St.-Wilson Ave. area.

The first suspect is described as a man, 40-50 years old, with a dark complexion and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jacket.

The second suspect is described as a woman, 40-50 years old, with red/brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket.
