Northern Ireland international Megan Bell has joined Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal.
Former Linfield player Bell joins the club until the end of the 2024/25 season from Scottish Women’s Premier League side Rangers.
The move across the border sees Bell reunite with Northern Ireland team-mates Caragh Hamilton, Casey Howe and Nat Johnson.
Bell said: “It means a lot to sign for Forest, it’s a massive club with massive ambition so I’m delighted to be here.
“I think I’m a very attack-minded player and I’d like to think I can make things happen; hopefully I can bring a bit of excitement with some goals and assists.”
Bell joined the Light Blues in 2020 and played an influential role in the side lifting the league title for the first time in the club’s history in the 2021/22 campaign.
“I have loved every minute of my time at the club. Everyone knows how much this club means to me and it has been an honour to call myself a Rangers player for five years,” said the 23-year-old.
“There have been highs and lows along the way and the support of my teammates, staff and supporters helped me through.
“Although I’m not a player anymore, I will always be a fan.
“I wish the girls nothing but the best for the rest of this season and coming seasons, and hope that more silverware will be brought back to Ibrox like they deserve.
“Finally, to every supporter and to everyone at the club who had my back from day one, thank you. I appreciate it more than you know, and I will never forget it.”
Nottingham Forest Women head coach Carly Davies told the club: “Megan is an experienced international with tremendous potential.
“She has impressed us with her technical ability and attacking prowess from midfield areas. She has the ability to unlock defences with clever combinations, through passes and an eye for goal.
“I look forward to supporting her development and seeing how far we can develop her. Megan is an exciting young prospect with an exceptionally bright future.”
