Nigel Farage has spoken out on a bizarre moment on ITV’s This Morning where he met a Chinese Dragon.
The Reform UK leader appeared on the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (29 January) to discuss his party’s strong showing in the polls.
His appearance coincided with the Chinese New Year, with 2025 being the year of the snake.
The politician’s showing was capped off with a greeting from a Chinese Dragon, leaving Nigel somewhat bewildered.

“I thought surrendering was the only option to that situation. It was an amusing start to the day.”
Nigel was asked by ITV hosts Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley about his time in the US last week for Donald Trump’s inauguration.
“I will never forget the victory rally”, he said.
“There’s Trump, and village people come on stage, and he’s dancing on stage with them. You can like Trump, you can loathe him, but he’s won fair and square.”

The Reform MP also touched on his relationship with tech mogul Elon Musk, which appears to have somewhat dampened since suggestions he was set to make a hefty donation to the populist party.
Musk appeared to withdraw his support last month after Nigel refused to show support for Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, the former EDL (English Defence League) leader who is currently serving an 19-month prison sentence for contempt of court.
But Nigel appears keen to put the episode behind them, and he told This Morning yesterday the pair of them are on “perfectly friendly terms”.
“He and I fell out on something, he encouraged me to do something that I didn’t agree with”, he said.
“Do you know what? I make my own mind up in life. I don’t get pushed around. I don’t get bullied even by the richest man on earth, I stick my ground.
“Not two people agree on everything, and Musk believes in free speech. I believe in free speech. That means we can agree on things, we can disagree on things.
“Whatever we think of Musk’s views, he’s a hero.”
