Authorities in Missouri released a sinister-looking mugshot of a woman who they accuse of going on a shooting spree, murdering her ex-husband and the girlfriend of an ex-lover.
Taylor Santiago, 31, was getting a coffee at a convenience store on the evening of Jan. 22 when she “decided” to kill her estranged husband as well as an ex-lover and his girlfriend in Arkansas, a detective with the Aurora-Marionville Police Department told the Kansas City Star.
Police said Santiago told her husband, Troy Huffman, that he could see a 12-year-old boy and invited him to her apartment.
According to ABC affiliate KSPR, Santiago and Huffman shared a son.
Cops said it was a ruse to trap Huffman.
After he arrived with the boy, Santiago went into the child’s room and told him to cover his ears because “she was going to take care of the bad guys,” according to a police affidavit.

Santiago left the boy’s room and hid a gun behind her back. She then shot Huffman, investigators were told.
After he didn’t fall, Santiago said she fired a second shot at him.
Huffman collapsed in front of the door.
Cops say she dragged his body out of the way, grabbed his keys and stole his vehicle.
Police said in a statement that Santiago drove to the Aurora Police and Fire Facility and called from the parking lot at about 1:45 a.m. on Jan. 23.
Santiago allegedly told cops that she had just murdered her husband at her home.
“During her statement, Ms. Santiago also disclosed that she had driven to Arkansas earlier and shot two additional victims, one of whom was the biological father of one of her children,” Police Chief Wes Coatney said in a news release.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said officers responded on Jan. 22 to a report of a shooting and found a woman dead and a man injured. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The release added that the suspect had been arrested in Missouri.
Authorities in Missouri have charged Santiago with murder, robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of children.
