The Masked Singer UK continues to keep the nation guessing as ITV viewers attempt to work out who is behind some of the elaborate costumes.
One eagle-eyed viewer thinks they’ve nailed it after spotting a clue that ties back to Coronation Street icon Nigel Havers.
In a previous episode, with Wolf’s rendition of The Candy Man came the murmur that Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet might be masquerading behind the mask.
However, the plot took a turn when one observer pointed out the tour poster for Nigel Havers’ solo performance, ‘Talking B*LL*CKS’, casually showing him lounging next to a wolf mask.
With the show prepared to premiere at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Drury Lane, this particular devotee is convinced the poster “gives away” the secret.
Soap fans will remember Nigel Havers as the debonair Lewis Archer, who wooed Audrey Roberts (played by Sue Nicholls) in Weatherfield.
His first appearance was in 2009, exiting a decade later after his character met an untimely demise. Outside of Corrie, Nigel has paraded his diverse acting chops in Netflix’s The Gentleman, the drama Finding Alice, Benidorm – bustling with warmth on ITV, and Tracey Ullman’s Show.
His inaugural dash into fame dates back to 1973, with a minor role in the bygone era drama Shabby Tiger, reports OK!.
The Masked Singer UK fans took to social media this week, abuzz with guesses about the celebrity behind the vibrant Pufferfish costume – and a wave of them are hedging their bets on an EastEnders star.
