The second series of the hit BBC comedy-drama Am I Being Unreasonable? is back on our screens after we learned the truth behind Alex’s death.

Written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, the BBC series was a smash hit for the BBC in 2022 with 3.2 million viewers.

The show’s first season won three RTS Awards and was nominated for three BAFTAs, including a BAFTA for best male comedy performance for Lenny Rush as Nic’s son Ollie.

Alongside the talented cast, the Mirror reports Daisy May reunites with her brother and co-creator of This Country, Charlie Cooper.

A teaser from the BBC states: “Series two will begin where series one left off, mid panic attack. Has Nic got away with murder? Quite possibly.

“Has she raised her son Ollie to follow in her murky footsteps?

“Kicked out of the family home for brotherly love – loving the wrong brother – Nic is reduced to sharing a caravan with her not so trustworthy best friend Jen.

“Nic’s Husband Dan has taken up rollerblading to channel his mid-life crisis.

“Shunned at the school gates and cast as the witch at the school re-enactment, Nic is experiencing hallucinations. Or is someone playing tricks on her?”

The show was commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy, with Pippa Brown serving as the Producer and Emily McDonald as the Director. The Executive Producers include Shane Allen, Daisy May Cooper, Selin Hizli, and Jack Thorne.

Filming for Am I Being Unreasonable? took place in Bristol and the West Country.

The second series will comprise six episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long.

The first episode of the new series will air at 9.30pm on Wednesday, February 5 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with subsequent episodes airing weekly in the same time slot.

The entire first series is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Who is in the cast of Am I Being Unreasonable?

The cast includes Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, who are returning to the series, along with Lenny Rush and Dustin Demri-Burns.

Commenting on her return, Daisy May Cooper said: “If you thought Lenny Rush’s BAFTA-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all…. livid.”

Other returning stars include David Fynn, Juliet Cowan, Phil Dunning, Georgie Glenn, Beatie Edney, Amanda Wilkin., Helen Ann Bauer, Marek Larwood, and Karla Crome.

Charlie Cooper is set to reunite onscreen with his sister Daisy May Cooper for the first time since their BAFTA-winning show, This Country.

The guest star lineup includes American stand-up comedian and actor Chelsea Peretti, known for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Tom Davis of Wonka and King Gary fame.

Other notable guest stars include Denise Black from Queer as Folk, Jamali Maddix of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and British rapper and poet Kojey Radical.
